Today was a beautiful but cold day with full sun, and I drove 154 miles roundtrip through Connecticut into Rhode Island to check out a new brewpub. The only photo from the day is of the charging spot on my way back home, but I was treated to a beautiful sight of a large Bald Eagle soaring over a lake in Rhode Island!

Although I didn’t absolutely need to charge, I opted for a stop at the new Tesla Supercharger in Willington CT along I-84. There are 16 v4 chargers with a TA gas station and mini-mart about a 3-minute walk away. You can see how new this is from the grass and trees:

Disappointingly, my battery was cold so I only saw a max of 65kW charging rate. I really wish this car had a manual preconditioning switch …

In spite of the cold day and the wind, I got 3.8 miles/kWh overall, mostly at 45-50 mph. That wasn’t bad!
