Summer 2021, Day 28 (the Last Day)

Today was going to be on a route I’ve done too many times to count, so I changed it up just a little and drove back roads from Erie PA to somewhere east of Jamestown NY (where I used to live). Other than that, it was the usual Southern Tier route across NY State to Binghamton, then I-88 and I-90 home.

Overall this trip involved 8,672 miles of driving spread across 28 days and 158 hours, 46 minutes in the car (although only 20 of those days involved any significant driving). The car reported 51.6 mpg and the average price per gallon that I paid was $3.39. Thankfully, I only had to pay over $4 once!

That’s it for the Epic Road Trip of 2021. Would I do it again? Probably 😉
