Fall Trip 2025 Day 10

This was a mostly-resting day with just an afternoon jaunt to a brewpub and to charge the car for tomorrow. Here’s the route I took for today’s 58 miles at 4.1 miles/kWh.

My first stop was in Cedar Springs MI at Cedar Springs Brewing, a place I’d enjoyed two or three years ago. At that time I’d posted some photos of the flower sculptures next to the brewery’s parking lot; here is one more:

My charging experience was with new Electrify America chargers at a Meijer store, and wow but were these chargers quite a hike from the store itself! Here’s a view of the chargers and then one of the store from the charger location, and yes, they ARE in the same parking lot. (The other chargers visible in the second photo are Rivian network chargers, the first I’ve seen.)

These are the newest generation EA chargers and there were six of them, but once again, 2 of the 6 were out of service even though the app said only 1 was down. What is going on, EA? Can you please get better, not worse?!?

Since I was only down to 58%, I opted to charge to 90% rather than 80% as I was able to do that within my free 30 minute allotment. The charging session was actually just 24 minutes, and then it was back to my hotel for the evening. Tomorrow, I’ll have a short drive to Saline MI.
