Spring Trip 2025, Day 7

1 April 2025

I have no pictures to offer from today as it was mostly gray and cold.

The day started in Painted Post NY with the car at 100% after free charging at the hotel, and I stopped once for electricity at the EvolveNY (Electrify America) spot in Richmondville NY that I stopped at a few days ago. Once again, I was the only car there. As the battery was preconditioned to 77º, I had a max charging rate of 222kW and was able to go from 18-90% in 24 minutes; I opted for 90% rather than 80% to give myself a bit more cushion for getting home, and it was all within the free 30-minute session time.

Shortly before getting to Richmondville, I had the one great sight of the day, a large hawk nest atop a telephone pole with a hawk peering out over the edge!

The day did warm up some in the afternoon and I was ultimately able to maintain my 3.0 miles/kWh average for the trip of 1,575 miles in all. My total energy usage was 527.992 kWh and I spent a total of $56.31 for electricity (the two stops at an IONNA Rechargery and charging the car from 34-80% once I arrived home). The total cost per mile for the trip was 3.6 cents, thanks to free charging at Electrify America and my hotels.
