May Trip Day 6

I didn’t drive a huge amount around Columbus but what I did do brought my trip average up to 3.3 miles/kWh where it stayed for today’s drive from there to Rochester NY. I actually averaged 3.6 for today which was about 400 miles, mostly at 71mph.

There were two charging stops along the way, both places I’ve stopped before — the EVgo at Whole Foods near Cleveland that I stopped at on the way to Columbus last Thursday, and the Electrify America charger in Fredonia NY that I’ve been to a couple of times before. Both stops were easy and sufficiently quick although I had hoped to try out one of the 350kW EVgo chargers, but that one was out of service.

Tomorrow will be the last day of this trip and the plan is to stop at the Electrify America in Herkimer NY again (I was there in April) and then check out the new EA chargers at the outlets in Lee MA.
