Soon, Another Trip

There won’t be a cross-country trip this summer but I will be heading back to Columbus OH for a few days this coming week. This is a surprise trip that is happening because my brother and his wife from Seattle will be there for the weekend.

I’m looking forward to a comparison between this trip and the last one; the weather will definitely be warmer although I may have wind to deal with. The route will also be a bit different as I’ll be heading out there via Binghamton NY and the Southern Tier route, then returning via the NY Thruway. I don’t anticipate nearly as much travel on secondary roads so this trip will be primarily on interstates at ~71mph.

Once again, I’ll post my day’s travel and charging results for those days that I’m on the highways. Day 1 — Tuesday, May 8th — will probably have two charging stops, one at the Walmart near Albany and one at the Mirabito in Binghamton, both Electrify America so still free for me. Then I’ll be topping off the car at my hotel in Painted Post NY.
