I’d arranged for a late checkout from my hotel in Columbus and that gave me plenty of time for a relaxing morning plus another walk on part of the Alum Creek Trail. This was certainly the best weather of my stay with temps in the low 50s and a mostly clear sky:

What this picture doesn’t show is the Bald Eagle that flew directly overhead a minute before this was taken, heading for the tree line in the distance. It was a beautiful sight and a fitting ending to this stay in Columbus.

Today’s drive was relatively short as I was only going to the Akron-Canton area. With temps nudging to near 60º, and in spite of driving 60-70mph through hilly country, I got 3.3 miles/kWh for the day although the drive wasn’t long enough to push the trip average above 3.1. Tomorrow will be another short-ish drive of about 235 miles, and then I’ll be finishing the trip on Tuesday with a 400-mile leg.
