April 2024 Road Trip, Day 3

This was a quiet day, mostly hanging around the hotel I did go out to a shoe store and took a roundabout drive on the way back along the Scioto River that is very full and muddy-brown after all the storms. The weather today veered dramatically between light rain and winds and bright sun, often with a change every few minutes. This was the view from my hotel room this afternoon and you can see both sun and rain::

At one point while I was on the drive, I wasn’t sure whether we were getting very large sleet or very small hail, but it was interesting and over in about three minutes.

The car charged back to 100% while I slept last night and I used 13% on my 40-mile drive today, getting 3.5 miles/kWh. Here’s where I’m at so far in the trip:

Tomorrow, I plan to make a run down to Cincinnati to an international grocery store and then to a castle, perhaps followed by some archery. The day will include a DC fast charging session halfway through so I’ll update here tomorrow with the results!
