Summer 2022 Day 27

The closer I get to the end of these trips, and the more familiar the scenery is, the less you get to see because I simply lose interest (to be completely honest!). Today was a drive from Grand Rapids MI to Madison OH, east of Cleveland, and was mostly on interstates with a couple of hours on secondary highways through Michigan. The car loved it, especially the strong tailwinds every time we went East and reported 58.0 mpg for the day.

I ended at a very new Hampton Inn, the kind where the Google Maps satellite view still shows a construction site without even a foundation, and this is my view out the window:

Tomorrow is a very familiar trip for me and one I’ve been driving since 2011 when Daria started college at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. I’ll try to get a couple of photos along the way in spite of that, but in just over 24 hours I’ll be back home and dealing with the reality of going back to work Wednesday morning. Oh well!
