West Virginia, Mountain Momma

I drove to White Hill, WV yesterday in a mix of sunshine, clouds, wind, and rain. Traffic was heavy most of the way, but generally not so much as to create issues outside of several construction zones on I-81 in Pennsylvania (will they EVER finish with that road?!?).

There really wasn’t an opportunity to stop and take pictures anywhere, although there were certainly some amazing possibilities along I-68 through Western Maryland and northern West Virginia!

Today, I’ll be heading on mostly back roads into Ohio and over to the Columbus area, stopping at two state parks for some solid archery time on the way. There should be pictures to share tonight!

BTW, after the first day’s travel, I’m at 45 mpg for the trip with this car. If you aren’t caught up on that news, I have a 2016 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid now with all the toys available on it. It’s extremely comfortable, and it continues to amaze me how well it does on mileage considering it weighs around 4,300 pounds! Part of this blog will be a continued update on the cumulative mileage for this trip. (Honestly, it was sitting at 47.5 mpg when I stopped for lunch yesterday – the extreme hills on I-68 took a toll on that number!)
