Road Trip, 2015
It’s a new year and a new trip! I’m not promising many pictures this time around as it seems that the weather will be less than beautiful for much of it (raining heavily, in fact!), but I’ll try to find some tidbits to write about.
The trip started with an evening drive to the Scottish Inn in Milford, PA. This turned out to be one of those old-style Motels that looks like individual little cottages all connected together. The room was funky in an updated 1950s way, but decent enough and certainly large! When I left Thursday morning, it was (surprise, surprise) raining.
My day’s drive was about 540 miles and was in mostly light traffic, although when it was heavy, it was ALL TRUCKS heavy. Did I mention RAIN?!?
I ended with an early dinner at a Winking Lizard (pizza and beer, naturally) and vegetated in my hotel room for the evening. And speaking of doing nothing, that’s my plan for most of today as well – just hang around and see how bored I can get – do some reading and some writing and some playing with the Arduino and a tiny bit of shopping, but otherwise just fully relaxing and emptying my mind so that I can really enjoy the rest of these precious days of vacation!
More later (and I promise a picture of “The Bates Motel” bathroom here at my hotel …).
