A Brewpub worth going out of your way for
OK, no pictures for this one either, just some nice words for Barley’s Brewing, a fantastic pub on Market Street in Columbus, Ohio. Not only do they brew all their own beer (and very well, I might add), but the ambience is very nice with almost a British feel to it. I will definitely go back if I’m ever in this area again! In fact, I’ll make a point of coming back!
After saying that I might never be here again and asking what was particularly good on the menu, the waitress suggested I have either the Wings or the Pierogi and Sausage (cheese pierogi with three types of sausages). I opted for the latter, and it was fabulous; I even have some leftovers for this evening at the hotel 🙂
For beers, I went with the Blood Thirst Wheat (with both zest and puree of Sicilian blood oranges added during brewing and fermentation), a Scottish Ale, and their Dark Matter Milk Stout. All were excellent and too soon gone.
For dessert? Why, Graeter’s Ice Cream on West Lane Ave, of course!
It’s been a good day 🙂
